Job summary

Kohl's is hiring a Material Handler in Kirkersville, OH. Start pay is $17.50/hr with a $2.25 weekend premium or a $1.25 night shift premium. Premiums cannot be combined. Available shifts include various day/evening/weekend blocks; selection is based on availability and cannot be changed after the offer is sent.

As a Material Handler, you will prep, process and move merchandise safely and efficiently, cross-training across departments to support operations and meet production standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English to understand and follow rules and safety instructions.
• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Adept at multi-tasking across tasks and departments.
• Ability to complete company training and cross-train in at least 2 departments.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process merchandise, including picking, packing, preparing, shipping orders and returns and loading and unloading trailers.
• Input data to prepare reports.
• Provide high-quality internal and external customer service with vendors, associates and locations to resolve disputes.
• Promote a safe work environment by following OSHA and company safety rules and reporting issues.
• Comply with all company policies and maintain accuracy and productivity.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to dress code requirements.
• Maintain flexibility to work designated shifts and overtime as needed.
