Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support all areas of warehouse operations in Janesville, WI. You will move merchandise with hand tools or forklift, verify receipts, and palletize items to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include replenishing pick areas, preparing store orders, loading trailers, and reporting damages or discrepancies to supervision while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Communication with co-workers and management; respond to inquiries and record entries.
• Basic math concepts for counting and verifying orders.
• Ability to operate a Radio Frequency Unit and data entry.
• Learn basic use and operations of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in an automated distribution center preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center using hand, hand truck, or forklift.
• Check, verify and audit merchandise against orders and record data.
• Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
• Replenish pick areas and fulfill merchandise requests.
• Fill store orders by selecting and moving merchandise to conveyor.
• Load outgoing merchandise into trailer from conveyor or truck.
• Report damages and vendor issues to supervisor.
• Partner with supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
• Meet safety, productivity and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
