Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks online Florida teachers for a K–12 virtual public school. You will be the teacher of record for core subjects, delivering live lessons, setting up courses in the LMS, and monitoring student progress.

Travel for state testing and in-person events is required several times per year. Ideal candidates hold a current Florida teaching license, knowledge of State Standards, and at least two years of teaching experience in a growth-focused coaching environment.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Two years’ teaching experience preferred.
• Comfort with a coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor for core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference.
• Complete course setup for each course in the LMS.
• Monitor student progress and provide daily feedback/grades.
• Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Participate in planning non-instructional activities and school events.
