The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida is seeking teachers who will deliver rigorous, nurturing online instruction for K-12 students statewide, with live sessions and personalized support.

The role requires occasional in-person state testing and events a few times per year; travel is expected. Applicants must hold Florida teaching license and be ready to work in a dynamic ACCEL Schools online program.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience teaching (2+ years preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record in core content areas and grades.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor progress and provide daily feedback and grades.
• Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
• Collaborate with the Principal to review progress reports.
• Travel to support in-person testing and events.
• Communicate regularly with families on academic and social-emotional growth.
