Job summary

Stellar Virtual is seeking a Secondary Teacher, Math (6-8) to deliver engaging, standards-aligned online math instruction to middle school students. You will implement the Stellar Virtual curriculum, assess progress, and provide individualized support while collaborating with families and colleagues in a fully virtual environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of secondary math teaching, Tennessee licensure, and experience with online platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of successful secondary math teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Statistics.
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and edtech tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Google Workspace proficiency (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
• Must have Tennessee teaching license for Secondary Mathematics (grades 6-8).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Tennessee State Standards for Mathematics for grades 6-8.
• Utilize online teaching methods and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop and deliver asynchronous learning activities, projects, and discussions.
• Provide clear and timely feedback on student work.
• Facilitate small group instruction and provide individualized support.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records.
• Implement Stellar Virtual curriculum and adapt instruction to students.
• Administer formative and summative assessments to monitor learning.
• Analyze data to identify gaps and adjust strategies.
• Collaborate with curriculum specialists and teachers to enhance math curriculum.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress and concerns.
• Support on-site testing events as needed.
• Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and meetings.
• Participate in virtual professional development with colleagues.
• Work with student support services to address needs.
• Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to program success.
