Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma seeks a dedicated online K-12 teacher. You will serve as the teacher of record, deliver live lessons, and manage course setup and daily feedback for students learning remotely.

Open to Oklahoma residents with a state teaching license. Expect regular collaboration with families, data reviews, and occasional travel for testing and events.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• Comfort with growth‑focused coaching based on observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and grade daily.
• Communicate with families regarding academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Travel to support state testing and student events.
