Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oregon, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking a high school math teacher for online instruction with occasional in-person state testing and events. You will deliver live lessons, monitor progress, and maintain strong communication with families.

Qualifications include a state teaching license and familiarity with state standards. Travel for testing and events is required several times per year, with a remote, online teaching model.

Qualifications

• Current state teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in high school math.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback/grade assignments daily.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
