Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, the largest Kenworth truck dealership and leasing group in North America, seeks a Used Truck Salesperson to drive used-truck sales within an assigned territory. You will engage with established customers and develop new prospects through proactive calls and market insight.

Qualified candidates will have broad product knowledge, strong communication skills, and a knack for building relationships. CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of company services, products and marketing techniques.
• Direct sales or truck sales experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Calls on prospective customers and assigned accounts within territory with aggressive telephone marketing.
• Maintains contacts with customers to understand requirements and market trends.
• Identifies and profiles prospective customers and develops strategies to obtain orders.
• Makes company services available to customers.
• References complaints and leads to proper department managers.
• Reports on competitive activity and keeps records of activities.
• Writes used truck appraisals when needed by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
