Job summary

Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the Phoenix Campus. This permanent 10-month role involves delivering quality instruction and developing IEPs for students in a career technical education setting.

The position requires AZ DOE certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing, a Bachelor in Education, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners. Salary ranges from $42,544 to $65,897, with full benefit options and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Education with related coursework specific to areas of Deaf/Hard of Hearing or in CTE field.
• Preferred: Master Degree in Education with related coursework specific to sensory impairments to areas of Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or Special Education.
• appropriately certified through Arizona Department of Education with appropriate endorsement for each position.
• Secondary teaching positions must possess the necessary coursework as required by the Department of Education.
• Must be able to pass FBI and State background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction to students.
• Prepare daily lesson plans.
• Evaluate students' skills to determine the best program of learning.
• Write and implement Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• All other duties as assigned.
