Job summary

Soliant Health in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Deaf/Hard of Hearing educator for a contract assignment near Phoenix. You will provide direct instruction and collaborate with general education staff to support students’ academic and social success.

This role emphasizes IEP-driven planning, AAC tools, ASL proficiency preferred, and ongoing professional development. Weekly pay and credentialing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
• Experience instructing and accommodating Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in school settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of IEPs and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and using assistive and augmentative communication technology.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred.
• Strong advocacy, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and individualized educational support to students with hearing impairments.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive participation.
• Monitor student progress, document growth, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Advocate for necessary accommodations and ensure access to classroom resources and technology.
• Remain up-to-date with best practices in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education through ongoing professional development.
