Job summary

Steve & Kate's Camp in Dallas is seeking a Summer Camp Substitute Counselor for a seasonal program running from May 26, 2026 to July 31, 2026. You will help supervise campers and facilitate activities, ensuring safety and wellness during 8:00 am–6:00 pm sessions.

Ideal candidates are energetic, patient, and ready to lead groups of 4–12 year olds, with First Aid/CPR certification preferred. This role offers a playful, collaborative environment that fosters leadership and creativity.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 months experience with camp-age children; 1 year preferred.
• First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day 1 (some locations may require additional certifications).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate activities, make connections, and monitor safety and wellness.
• Oversee activity spaces; campers self-select activities; rotate in supporting roles.
• Collaborate with local director; activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts & crafts, recreation, and more.
