Qualifications

• Have observed a classroom for at least half a day before intake meeting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a regular teacher in a classroom or attend staff meetings and conferences.
• Complete duties of a regular secretary to support the program administratively.
• Maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public.
• Follow teacher lesson plans, mark assignments, and evaluate classroom work per policy.
• Record pupil absences according to procedures.
• Supervise students on site, grounds, or during field trips.
• Follow school and division procedures for routines and emergencies.
• Provide a written summary of work covered and comments to the teacher.
• Carry out duties requested by teacher or administrator during planning periods.
• Maintain confidentiality in all settings.
