Job summary

Fluvanna County Public Schools seek to hire substitutes in various positions throughout the school year. Substitutes may be assigned to different schools within the division on a daily basis, with a non-benefited daily rate of pay that varies by assignment, degree, and license.

The substitute positions include teacher substitutes at $115.00 per day, and other roles at $105.00 to $155.00 per day. The substitute teacher will work in the absence of a regular teacher, with assignments and locations

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED; experience with children preferred.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s license.
• Complete FCPS Substitute Training Workshop before employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, care for, monitor, and instruct students in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Follow instructional plans and visual schedules developed by the classroom teacher and/or specialist.
• Record attendance, maintain accurate records, and incident reports.
