Job summary

MFA Oil is seeking a Break Time Assistant Manager in Sikeston, MO to support store operations and guest service. You will assist in managing the store in the Store Manager’s absence, coach team members, and help with finances and expense control, while promoting food service and safety.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance with access to a vehicle for bank deposits.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage customers.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently or as a leader.
• Ability to perform math calculations to make change and handle cash.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and helping customers and supporting peak hours.
• Assist with daily store operations including reporting, banking, inventory, bookkeeping, fuel management, and maintaining facilities and equipment.
• Support merchandising and sales, pricing, promotions, stocking, and cleanliness across the store.
• Assist with shift supervision in the absence of the manager; participate in training and coaching of associates.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management regarding store operations.
• Understand store finances and help control expenses; participate in inventory audits and loss control activities.
• Help recruit, train, and develop a team, promoting food service and safety.
• Utilize POS systems and technology; perform calculations and complete shift reports.
• Follow company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
