Job summary

Lidl US is seeking Store Associates in Takoma Park, MD to support checkout, stocking, bakery, produce, and weekly promotions within a single shift. You’ll thrive in a team-based environment, maintain cleanliness and safety, and help deliver a fast, customer-focused shopping experience.

Responsibilities include engaging customers, handling inquiries and returns, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate signage and pricing for displays and promotions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn multiple roles quickly.
• Effective, friendly, and professional communication skills.
• Multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, move, or slide products up to and in excess of 45 lbs., and reach above head height frequently.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers with friendly, efficient service that encourages return visits.
• Transition between checkout, stocking, and areas like bakery or produce as needed.
• Meet productivity goals by working with urgency and following Lidl processes.
• Perform daily freshness checks in produce and chilled areas for quality and presentation.
• Set up and organize non-food promotional displays and weekly offers with accurate signage.
• Maintain cleanliness standards on sales floor, restrooms, warehouse, and parking lot.
• Operate register quickly and accurately and memorize PLUs.
• Handle customer inquiries, process returns, and resolve issues.
• Help keep inventory accurate and minimize stock loss via controls.
• Follow safety procedures and store guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with team to complete daily tasks and prepare for the next shift.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
