Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Louisiana Teacher Certification (or certification in progress).
• Two or more years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work with children who have moderate to severe cognitive disabilities and autism.
• Strong classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students on the caseload.
• Provide instruction across functional academics, communication, motor, social, vocational skills and self-care.
• Plan and provide systematic instruction to increase functional, age-appropriate skills.
• Monitor student progress throughout the year.
• Maintain accurate records for all students on caseload.
• Engage in school-based professional development and feedback sessions.
