Job summary

You will work within a team, report to the Campus Principal, manage instructional strategies, and participate in ongoing staff development to enhance outcomes for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Knowledge of ARD and IEP processes.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill-building programs.
• Plan and use strategies and materials that fit student learning styles.
• Modify regular curricula and assist SPED students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD meetings regularly.
• Conduct assessments to inform instructional planning.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines.
• Use diverse instructional techniques and media.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Incorporate technology in teaching.
