Job summary

Sweetwater County School District #1 is seeking a Certified Staff/Special Education - Resource Teacher for Eastside Elementary. The position focuses on designing individualized programs and teaching academic and social skills in line with IEPs and district standards.

The role requires collaboration with families, school leadership, and other educators to implement effective instruction and monitor student progress. A strong knowledge of IDEA and regulatory requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education from accredited program.
• Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification or National License relevant to the position.
• Experience with IDEA and Students with Disabilities in Wyoming Public Schools; knowledge of related rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program tailored to each student within IEP requirements.
• Implements curriculum aligned to individual goals using effective teaching techniques.
• Collaborates with Principal and Director of Special Services to improve instruction.
• Writes daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Monitors student progress and communicates with families as per IEP.
• Maintains organized records in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Supports administration in district policies and procedures.
