Job summary

Huron Valley Schools in Harbor High School is seeking a dedicated Resource Room Teacher (1.0 FTE) to support students with IEPs across content areas.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with special and general education staff, implement specially designed instruction, monitor IEP goals, and document progress while engaging families. This role starts as soon as possible for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement required.
• Endorsement in ZG Elementary K-5 preferred.
• Highly Qualified under ESSA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Travel between Harbor High School and another building as needed.
• Provide Specially Designed Instruction to students with IEPs.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and families.
• Progress monitor IEP goals and report data quarterly to families.
• Lead and write IEPs and MDRs per federal, state, and district guidance.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff and paraeducators to support students in their LRE.
• Attend building and department meetings.
• Be engaged in content and school topics to benefit students.
• Complete Medicaid billing monthly as required.
