Job summary

All About Kids, Inc. in East Meadow, NY is seeking a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to provide services in home, school, and clinic settings. The role involves developing IEPs with parents and professionals and addressing needs of students with autism and developmental delays.

The candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, communicate with families, and participate in IEP meetings. NY State certification in one of the listed areas is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY State certification in one of the eligible areas.
• Experience working with children with developmental delays and autism is preferred.
• Excellent communication with parents, teachers and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational services to students with special needs in home, school, or clinic settings.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents and educators.
• Assess educational needs of students with autism and other special needs.
• Communicate regularly with families and professionals to track progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
