Job summary

Special Education Associates is seeking compassionate Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) to support preschool children across New York City and ZIP 10458 area. You will deliver individualized SEIT services in school, daycare, or home settings under supervision.

Qualifications

• New York State Special Education Teacher Certification (Birth-Grade 2) or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience with preschool-aged children (CPSE).
• Strong communication and collaboration with families and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized SEIT services to preschool-aged children in school, daycare, or home settings.
• Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each child's needs.
• Foster communication, social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and other service providers.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Create engaging, positive learning experiences that help children reach their full potential.
