Qualifications

• Must possess valid TASN paraprofessional license from ISBE, or have 60 semester hours and eligibility for paraprofessional exam.
• CPR training is highly desirable and may be required upon employment.
• Good knowledge of English grammar and spelling; ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with various disabilities in accordance with each student’s IEP.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and personal hygiene assistance as needed.
• Support teachers with classroom activities and maintain written records of student behavior.
• Participate in workshops and in-service training to update job-related skills.
