Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools seeks a Foreign Language - Spanish classroom teacher to plan and deliver engaging Spanish instruction across grade levels. You will assess student progress, adapt lessons, and collaborate with grade teams to support language learning goals.

The role may require off-site work or itinerant assignments across multiple schools. You will maintain classroom management, use multimedia resources, and participate in professional development and school activities.

Qualifications

• Valid educator license in Spanish OR eligible for a conditional license in Spanish.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons aligned to standards and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and monitor progress toward goals.
• Plan and implement instructional strategies and activities using multimedia resources.
• Develop and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain behavior management and a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to maximize learning opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
