Job summary

Rochester Regional Health Imaging seeks a Sonographer at the Riedman Health Center in Rochester, NY. The role performs vascular, abdominal, OB/GYN or neurovascular ultrasound exams and ensures high-quality imaging to support Radiologists and Neurologists. The schedule is Mon-Fri with weekend requirements.

New hires must have a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certificate or Bachelor’s in Ultrasound; RDMS may be required for certain sites. CME and precepting duties are included.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound required for all new hires.
• RDMS certification required at radiology sites with ACR accreditation within 6–18 months after graduation.
• RDMS not required for Neurovascular & Vascular.
• Official transcript or registrar letter accepted for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans.
• Produces ultrasound images and obtains measurements using various transducers.
• Reviews patient history, notes scan in chart, and completes preliminary reports.
• Assists physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance.
• Cleans, stocks, and prepares rooms; attends meetings and CME.
