Job summary

Byrdie is seeking an Associate Social Media Editor & In-House Content Creator to join our social team. You will pitch daily social-first ideas, host and edit video, publish posts, manage comments, and help launch new social series across platforms.

Based in New York with hybrid in-office three days a week, you’ll stay on top of beauty, fashion, and pop culture trends, collaborate with editorial, and bring branded voice to life with creative captions and clips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of digital and/or social media experience, preferably at a brand, a news organization, or a content studio.

Responsibilities

• Pitch daily social-first news and content ideas for social posts or hosted videos.
• Create original content (Reels, TikTok, etc.) including video editing and on-camera hosting.
• Monitor community engagement and respond to comments across platforms.
