RWE Supply & Trading Americas, LLC in Chicago is seeking a Short-Term Gas Trader to optimize North American gas positions across markets. You will trade physical and financial gas, manage schedules, and work with analytics and risk management teams to maximize commercial value while maintaining disciplined risk controls.

In this role you will monitor fundamentals, respond to market developments, and identify opportunities across prompt, day-ahead and intra-day windows.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in natural gas trading or related commercial role.
• Strong understanding of U.S. natural gas markets and major hubs.
• Knowledge of cross-commodity interactions with power markets.
• Experience with gas scheduling, nominations, balancing or pipeline ops.
• Proficiency with market data platforms (Genscape, Enverus, NGI).

Responsabilidades

• Trade and optimize short-term natural gas positions in North America.
• Identify opportunities across prompt, day-ahead, and intra-day markets.
• Collaborate with power traders and commercial teams on cross-commodity view.
• Monitor pipeline constraints and operational events affecting trading.
• Manage risk within limits and contribute to P&L through position management.
• Develop trading analytics, dashboards and tools for market visibility.
