Exxon Mobil Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Gas Trading Analyst to join our North American Gas Trading team. The role focuses on developing market views and performing fundamental analysis to support trading decisions across North American natural gas markets.

You will work with traders, quantitative analysts, originators, and commercial stakeholders to optimize portfolios, build Python-based analytics, and deliver concise market commentary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience analyzing North American natural gas markets within trading, utility, producer, merchant, consulting, or financial environments.
• Strong understanding of natural gas market fundamentals: supply, demand, storage, LNG, pipelines, and regional basis dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Provide market expertise, fundamental analysis, and statistical modeling to support natural gas trading activities.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term market views and forward price outlooks for trading strategies.
• Monitor gas supply/demand, storage, LNG exports, and weather-driven consumption trends.
• Analyze pipeline flows, transportation constraints, and regional pricing dynamics across major hubs.
• Identify trading opportunities from dislocations, infrastructure constraints, and evolving balances.
• Develop and maintain analytical models to evaluate market fundamentals and price formation.
