Job summary

RUNGE ISD High School in Runge, Texas is seeking a qualified Social Studies Teacher for an immediate start. The position reports to the Principal and requires a bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate.

Responsibilities include planning lessons aligned with TEA guidelines, managing classroom behavior, collaborating with staff and SPED, and supporting student growth. This full-time role is on-site at the assigned campus with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject assigned
• CPR/AED certification for PE teachers (to be maintained)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum, with accommodations for individual needs
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials aligned to TEA guidelines
• Assess student learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP
• Work with staff to set instructional goals and methods
• Plan and supervise instructional aides and volunteers
