Job summary

RUNGE ISD High School is seeking a Secondary ELA Teacher to deliver high-quality literacy instruction and support students in developing critical reading and writing skills. The role emphasizes lesson planning, data-driven instruction, and collaboration with campus staff.

The teacher will implement district curricula, assess progress, and participate in professional development and school activities to promote student growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or related training under the DOI plan.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• CPR/AED certification for PE teachers as applicable and required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum and show evidence of preparation.
• Plan instructional activities reflecting diverse learning styles and needs.
• Assess student learning through formal and informal methods.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Plan and supervise work of instructional aides and volunteers.
• Establish professional relationships with parents, students, and colleagues.
• Engage in staff development and participate in committees as required.
