Job summary

Furqaan Academy Bolingbrook seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate students and determine needs for physical therapy services. You will develop IEP-driven therapy plans and work across settings to support student mobility, participation, and progress.

Responsibilities include attending IEP meetings, conducting mobility device evaluations, training staff on lifting methods and PT equipment, and maintaining data to measure progress toward goals.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification from an approved CAPTE physical therapy program.
• Current IL State License in Physical Therapy.
• Previous experience in a special education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate students using appropriate school evaluations.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and complete paperwork for annual reviews and re-evaluations.
• Schedule and implement student physical therapy services per IEP.
• Assist, instruct, and train staff in proper positioning and use of PT equipment.
• Maintain daily charting and data collection toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with IEP team to develop and implement student IEPs.
• Attend required meetings and complete IEP process sections.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports as required by Illinois/state districts.
