Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Full-Time Sample Control Technician II / Courier based in Anaheim, CA. You’ll support sample receiving, control, and logistics between the Orange and Anaheim laboratories, ensuring chain of custody and timely processing of projects.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a laboratory environment, potentially handling hazardous materials as needed. Schedule: 1st Shift (10am – 6:30pm), Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory operations, sample receiving, logistics, or related environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to move up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift training/certification is preferred.
• Ability to work 1st shift, Anaheim, CA

Responsibilities

• Transport samples between Orange and Anaheim labs using company vehicles with chain of custody.
• Receive environmental samples into the lab per SOPs.
• Enter data into the Laboratory Information System (LIMS) and maintain logs.
• Review chain of custody docs for completeness and escalate issues.
• Label containers, store materials, and notify departments of priority samples.
• Prioritize and route samples to meet turnaround times.
• Operate forklifts and move materials safely.
• Maintain inventory and assist with continuous-improvement initiatives.
