Job summary

Price Engineering, a SunSource company, is seeking a detail-driven Returns Coordinator/Buyer Assistant to manage the end-to-end returns process and support purchasing with inventory accuracy and item setup in Prophet 21 (P21).

This role sits at the intersection of operations and procurement, requiring strong organization, clear communication with vendors and internal teams, and ownership of accurate records and timely follow-ups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing, inventory control, or returns processing.
• Experience with Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP software.
• Strong Excel skills; data analysis to spot trends.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Clear communication with vendors, customers, and teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in wholesale distribution or industrial products is a plus.
• HS diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process return authorizations from initiation to resolution.
• Coordinate with warehouse to inspect and disposition returns.
• Track RMAs and prevent aging inventory; resolve discrepancies.
• Issue credits and ensure proper reflection in records.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies to improve accuracy.
• Set up new item records in P21 and maintain pricing and vendor data.
• Monitor POs and follow up with suppliers on status and dates.
