Job summary

Food City in the United States is seeking a friendly sales associate to engage customers, determine needs, and provide fast, accurate checkout and service while upholding core store values.

You will unload trucks, stock and maintain shelves, assist on the floor, handle transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized store. A flexible schedule and teamwork are essential, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience or proficiency in similar tasks.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a customer-focused culture.
• Ability to operate a POS system, computer and phone as needed.
• Willingness to learn all store areas and train others.
• Reliable attendance and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trucks and keep assigned department clean and stocked.
• Execute daily operational goals with urgency and attention to detail.
• Work as part of a retail team and participate in daily huddles.
• Restock displays, watch end caps, and price items as needed.
• Assist customers with large items and provide fast, friendly service at checkout.
• Prevent shoplifting through excellent customer service.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear company uniform and nametag.
• Follow safety procedures and review store policies.
