Qualifications

• Cashier experience in a similar position or proficiency in a similar task.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to help maintain a customer focused culture.
• Ability to use a cash register/ POS system and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise; maintain department cleanliness and stock.
• Execute daily goals with urgency; move quickly while paying attention to details.
• Cooperate with others and participate in daily huddle meetings; share ideas for improvement.
• Remove promotional tags and restock displays; watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items; consult management before saying no.
• Watch for shoplifters and act per policy to deter theft.
• Provide friendly service; greet customers and assist in departments or storewide.
• Demonstrate sales process; use the Five Foot Rule and build customer relations.
• Wear uniform and nametag; address complaints positively and document for follow-up.
• Operate forklift when needed for stocking; assist with large/heavy items.
• Accurately handle money and process refunds or store credits.
