Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Sales Associate to be a friendly point of contact for customers, helping them locate and purchase merchandise and keeping the store clean and organized.

You will operate the cash register, process transactions, stock shelves, rotate products, and support the Store Manager in a fast-paced environment to maximize customer satisfaction.

Strong communication, basic math, and safety awareness are preferred; a high school diploma is commonly requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
