Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to be a friendly point of contact for customers, helping locate and purchase merchandise and operate the register. You will stock, recover, clean the store and support store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, basic math and cash handling, and the ability to stand and walk frequently. High school diploma is preferred, and you will work under the Store Manager's guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment from customers and make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers with merchandise as necessary.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
