Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team. You will help customers locate merchandise, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, operating the POS, processing payments, and assisting with plan-o-gram execution. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

This is a fast-paced role that requires standing and walking throughout shifts; teamwork and reliability are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise on shelves or sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and restock.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and operate cash register.
• Collect payment and make change; assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean store areas and maintain overall store appearance.
