Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and maintain product knowledge in-store. The role emphasizes proactive engagement with customers, accuracy in transactions, and adherence to store policies.

The Sales Associate will support merchandising, operate the register, and uphold loss prevention measures while contributing to a positive work culture and efficient daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight
• Assists with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, assisting with fitting rooms, ringing up customers, and inviting them to return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains professional appearance including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures and reports incidents of theft or dishonesty
• Performs other duties as assigned
