Job summary

The Rockdale County Parks and Recreation Department seeks a Recreation Program Coordinator to coordinate, implement, administer, and evaluate assigned recreation programs, activities, and community events. You will help plan and deliver services that meet community needs while supporting departmental goals, supervise part-time staff, and maintain program records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 1 year of recreation programming or related experience.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, and evaluate assigned recreation programs, activities, classes, camps, workshops, and events.
• Assist in assessing community needs and trends to support new programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations: scheduling, registrations, equipment, and communications.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate part-time staff and volunteers.
• Assist with budget, revenue tracking, and financial reporting for programs.
• Develop and distribute marketing and outreach materials.
