Job summary

The City of Modesto is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Leader to plan, organize, and conduct activities for City programs and facilities. This role offers flexible, hourly work limited to 1,000 hours annually and is non-benefited and at-will.

Responsibilities include program planning, report submission, meetings and trainings, and possible cash handling duties. Applicants must be at least 15, complete required trainings, and hold a First Aid/CPR/AED certificate with hands-on instruction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old at the time of application.
• Required to attend and complete all trainings, including Mandated Reporter training.
• Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate required, with in-person hands-on session.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct assigned City recreation programs.
• Maintain and submit detailed reports and records as required.
• Attend meetings and trainings; assist with cash handling if requested.
• Foster positive customer service and safe working environment.
• Supervise participants and ensure adherence to program rules and guidelines.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
