Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the physical therapy team with administering treatments under the supervision of a licensed PT. You will help implement the plan of care, document progress, and communicate with the patient and family to support recovery.

Responsibilities include selecting appropriate treatment techniques, adjusting sessions under supervision, and providing instructional support during in-service and student supervision.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant licensed by the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI/NCI-CPI) training within 90 days for NOEH employees.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapeutic procedures or treatments based on the PT evaluation and plan of care.
• Documents treatment sessions and submits charges within defined timelines.
• Adjusts treatment plans with the supervising PT and participates in planning activities and program development.
• Acts as clinical instructor for PTA students and provides departmental input for improvement.
• Demonstrates ethical practice per APTA standards and organizational policies.
