Independence Health seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans under supervision, providing age-appropriate care for diverse patients. You will collaborate with the Physical Therapist and chart progress accurately in the patient record.

The PTA participates in program development, education, and discharge planning, traveling between system sites as needed to meet patient care needs and maintain high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.

Responsabilités

• Performs clinical responsibilities in an age-specific patient care manner to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Responds to the treatment plan and discusses changes with the Physical Therapist.
• Implements and documents therapy care, patient progress, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients and families and documents education; communicates post-discharge needs.
• Promotes performance improvement and collaborates with care team; participates in meetings.
