Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered therapy services. You will assist in developing treatment plans when permitted, document progress, and adapt treatments under supervision.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through exercises, observing responses, communicating with family, and ensuring safe patient handling and documentation in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Proficiency with applicable professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients as they practice exercises or functional activities.
• Observes patients during treatments and reports progress to the physical therapist.
• Communicates with caregivers and family about treatment plans and patient information.
• Transports and positions patients for treatment and safety during sessions.
• Administers manual therapy, aquatic therapy, and modalities as directed.
• Measures range of motion and vital signs to assess treatment effects.
• Monitors equipment use and logs treatment administration.
• Fits patients for orthotics and supportive devices as needed.
