Rockford Therapy Solutions in Paterson, New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our hospital-based team in a full-time, onsite role. You will support PTs in implementing individualized treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, and help restore mobility and function for a diverse patient population.

Formación

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and PT interventions.
• Experience implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to adapt treatments for diverse patient populations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activity routines.
• Educate patients on body mechanics and home exercise programs.
• Administer modalities under supervision (electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat/cold).
• Monitor and document patient progress, ROM, strength, and function.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is available.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients throughout rehabilitation.
