Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Outpatient Physical Therapy department at the Hyde Park Clinic in Boston, MA. This on-site role offers a 40-hour workweek with direct collaboration with Physical Therapists to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.

The PTA will document progress, adjust treatments as directed, and participate in interdisciplinary education and research activities.

Qualifications

• Work requires an Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited institution by time of hire.
• Massachusetts PTA license or eligibility status; CPR certification required or within 90 days of hire.
• 1-3 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements comprehensive individual and group treatment independently.
• Assesses effectiveness and documents patient response; coordinates re-evaluations.
• Ensures compliance with policies; complete documentation accurately; meets productivity.
• Pursues ongoing professional growth and stays current with therapy advances.
• Contributes to development and evaluation of PT programs; data for quality projects.
• Collaborates with colleagues to provide high quality patient care.
• Orients students and supports clinical education.
• Provides supervision to rehab aide and presents information from journals.
