Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Level 1 Physical Therapist Assistant to assist Physical Therapists in delivering comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation. The PTA will participate in evaluating and treating pediatric to geriatric patients, document progress, and support home programs under the PT plan of care.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in PTA, Massachusetts PTA license or eligibility, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• 1-3 years experience preferable.
• Current Massachusetts PTA license or eligibility.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements comprehensive patient treatment plans under supervision.
• Maintains clinical documentation and progress notes.
• Collaborates with the PT and rehab team for patient care planning.
• Delivers PT interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Ensures patient safety and infection control in all procedures.
• Participates in department education and quality improvement activities.
