Hertford Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Hertford, NC is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant. You will assist the PT, document patient progress, and coordinate with physicians for orders and discharges.

The role requires a BA or AS in Physical Therapy (APTA recognized) and a current license/registration in the state; you may participate in rehab team meetings and supervise junior PTA staff as needed. Competitive wages and flexible scheduling offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy that is recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state

Responsabilités

• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note with PT signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absence as necessary.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education regarding patient care or PT services as needed.
