Job summary

Hertford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Edenton, North Carolina, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work with a supervising Physical Therapist.

You will provide treatment, assist with evaluations, document progress, and support staff during rehab meetings. This is a dynamic role in a long-term care setting with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state of North Carolina

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Assist with patient evaluations and assessments
• Document patient progress and participation
• Obtain MD orders and ensure accurate billing
• Participate in facility and rehab meetings
• Supervise junior PTA staff members or students
• Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, patients, and families
