Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Scrub Tech at Olathe Hospital to support the surgical team under RN supervision. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterile technique, and assist in major and minor procedures.

Part-time position; requires a Surgical Technician degree (or equivalent education), a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification. Prior experience is preferred, and flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Surgical Technician degree or equivalent education required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain asepsis, prepping and draping, needle and instrument count, specimen care and dressing application.
• Prepare instruments and supplies for sterilization; cleans and decontaminates instruments; assists in cleaning/preparing OR suite for next case.
• Provide appropriate instrumentation to surgeon and assist in procedures.
