Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is hiring a Medical Assistant to perform direct patient care under provider and nurse supervision. Responsibilities include taking vitals, reviewing history, and assisting with blood draws, injections and EKGs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years medical experience, or graduate with science/health degree.
• Graduate/Completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred (MCMG only).
• Two years medical office experience acceptable in lieu of required education; current BLS/CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients: measure height, weight, and vitals.
• Review medical history and chief complaints, gather information.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs.
• Respond to in-basket messages, patient follow-ups, and messages using EPIC.
